In 2010, the Arizona Wildfire & Incident Management Academy expanded its training to incorporate trainee positions for incident management positions. Trainees can get task books signed through assisting with daily operations during the Academy.
The safety record of our firefighters across the state is outstanding and we expect this to continue through training participation at all levels. The Academy provides the best instructors in their fields to promote and teach what you need to become the best you can be.
At the Academy, you will experience how an incident is run by an Incident Management Team in a fire camp environment. You will meet new friends and will grow both professionally and personally.
The Arizona Wildfire & Incident Management Academy is a non-profit organization and is sponsored through the cooperative efforts of federal, state and local agencies. You will spend time networking, learning and training with the same professionals you will interact with when responding to fires.
The next Academy will be held in March 2011
