Wildland
Training In An Incident Setting!
In preparation
for the 7th Annual Arizona Wildfire Academy, we are
incorporating some new classes based on feedback from the
course offering suggestions from last year's academy.
We hope to make the upcoming Academy beneficial to all
attendees.
The safety record of our
firefighters across the state is outstanding and we expect
this to continue through training participation at all
levels. The Academy provides the best instructors in
their fields to promote and teach what you need to become
the best you can be. At the Academy, you will
experience how an incident is run by an Incident
Management Team in a fire camp environment. You will
meet new friends and will grow both professionally and
personally. We look forward to meeting you at the
2009 7th Annual Arizona Wildfire Academy.

Our 7th annual Arizona Wildfire Academy is returning to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
With the support of so many agencies and individuals, we
are able to offer quality training and education to a
variety of students and trainees.
With the implementation of the Incident Command System,
our management team can provide support to a large number
of students. The firecamp environment benefits new
students as well as acting as a refresher for
veterans.
Our Trainee program allows opportunities
to work on Task Books under qualified team members.
The classroom and field exercises provide the required
education needed for Red Card qualifications. Our
vendor's are providing exposure to the latest technology
and an opportunity to purchase items.
The Arizona Wildfire Academy is a non-profit organization
and is sponsored through the cooperative efforts of
federal, state and local agencies. You will spend
time networking, learning and training with the same
professionals you will interact with when responding to
fires.
